Write in the Springs
Scholarship Application Instructions
ACFW Colorado Springs is pleased to be able to offer a limited number of scholarships for the 12th annual Write In The Springs Conference being held at Glen Eyrie on April 9-10, 2021. This year’s scholarships will cover the full registration cost for our all-day Saturday sessions with Susan May Warren. Saturday registration includes breakfast and lunch at Glen Eyrie’s historic castle and all conference materials for the day. Awardees may add any available options they wish to include when completing their award registration.
Eligibility: Any current ACFW member in good standing for at least one full year (since November, 2019) is eligible to apply. Previous award recipients may not apply in consecutive years (i.e. 2019 recipients must wait until 2021 to apply for another scholarship). Because of last year's Covid cancellation, however, an exception will be made for our 2020 award recipients. They are allowed to apply for the 2021 conference if they wish, and will recieve priority consideration by the scholarship committee.
Deadlines: Scholarship applications must be received by 6:00 pm (Mountain Time) on December 15, 2021, to be considered. Award recipients will be notified by December 20, 2021 so those who do not receive awards will have sufficient time to take advantage of the early rates, if they still wish to register.
How to Apply: There is no application fee. Applicants need only to complete our QUESTIONNAIRE (Look for a Word file to download) and attach it to an email sent to the scholarship committee at: scholarship@acfwcosprings.com. Write “Application” on the subject line of the email. No additional text needs to be included in the body of the email.
Selection: Applications are reviewed and prayerfully considered according to the following criteria:

- Commitment to writing career - Attempts to improve craft - Involvement in ACFW - Financial Need

The identities of our scholarship awardees and our donors are never published or made public in any way though they are not hidden from the members of the evaluating committee.
DONATIONS: Our scholarships are made available through the generous donations of those who support our chapter’s efforts to train and encourage Christian authors. Anyone may contribute to this fund, which is maintained exclusively to help make Write In The Springs available to as many people as possible. Donations are not tax-deductible. Contributors can find a link for direct donation to the fund on our website at: acfwcosprings.com
